Welcome

Hi, I'm Frank. I'm a seasoned yet youthful Air Force veteran currently pursuing my passion in user-centered design. I recently graduated from Thinkful’s UX/UI Design program where I studied visual/user interface/interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, information architecture, content strategy, UX research, and usability testing. I'm deeply passionate about creating usable interfaces that make a positive difference in people's lives.

I strive to design and build products that are both beautiful and easy to use by combining my love of visual design and front-end coding with my strong curiosity in human behavior. I’m a firm believer that we must first start with the user before we can create remarkable and marketable products.

Prior to my schooling at Thinkful, I earned an A.S. in Web Development from San Diego Mesa College in 2019 where I learned the fundamentals of web design, HTML5, CSS3, basic JavaScript, and WordPress. I was also an IT professional for over 20 years where I gained a love for technology and appreciation for the customers I supported. It was during my IT career where I learned to advocate for the user and care about the overall user experience.  

My Passions

When my schedule allows it, I love to paddle out in that great big body of water called the Pacific and catch waves on my longboard while trying to avoid being eaten by sharks. 😋

I'm originally from Michigan and the Midwest and also spent many years in the Wash DC metro area before escaping to San Diego over 20 years ago!

When I'm not surfing, you can find me sitting in front of a computer studying, designing, researching, brainstorming, sketching, wireframing, prototyping, coding, cursing, and learning anything UX/UI and web development related. My passion around design and coding led me to my new career change with the goal of creating stunning websites that are clean, user-centric, user-accessible, visually-pleasing, sophisticated, powerful, and fast.
